Vintage Rocks Petticoat is a very light grey, almost white, furniture paint that will compliment ANY of the other Vintage rocks colours.
Before you start, turn the unopened can upside down for as long as you can bear to wait. We know, you’re excited to start painting but this will help mix all those lovely pigments together and ensure that you have a beautifully even colour. If you really can’t wait then just skip this step!
As you know, with this paint there is no need to sand or prime your furniture before painting but it is best to ensure that it is clean and free of dust or loose particles. A swoosh over with a baby wipe is normally enough.
Brush on your first coat of Vintage Rocks furniture paint and see the transformation begin. This is fast drying paint so you’ll be pleased to know you only need to wait 15-30 minutes until you apply another coat. The drying time obviously depends on environmental factors but if it feels dry, it is dry!
Add water to make it a little more smooth, or add even more water to make it into a wash. Leave the lid off to thicken it up… So much you can do… just play around with it! Choose one of our specially designed finishing products, Buzz Wax or Finishing Cream, to protect and nourish your project.
Vintage Rocks Chalky Paint is a non-toxic, odourless, water-based paint that is extremely low in VOCs, making it safe for inside use and around children.
When you have finished painting, clean your brushes with water and have a cup of tea and admire your handy work.
NO SANDING ~ NO PRIMING ~ LOW VOCS

Stunning, light stone neutral with a grey undertone. Great “period” paint look !
Love the look of this colour over Coal with a little light distressing. A customer in the shop thought my transformation from grotty pine was a real 18thc fire surround!
